Universiteit Leiden organises HOPE XXL Conference

This year HOPE XXL and Leiden University are organizing the European HOPE XXL Conference. Over one hundred young people from all over the continent are invited to The Netherlands to join in a groundbreaking event. The conference will deliver a new vision on the future, shared by European youth. This vision forms the basis for the global vision which will be presented to the United Nations General Assembly as young people’s vision on the future. The United Nations will be asked to take the lead in implementing this global vision.

The European conference takes place from 6 – 8 December in Leiden and The Hague, The Netherlands. In a three-day event participants will develop a joint vision on the main issues of our time. They will be supported by an inspiring program, renowned speakers and the academic excellence of Leiden University.

About HOPE XXL

Dutch youth leaders drafted a discussion manifesto containing articles on the main issues of our time. It is a vision of the younger generation on the future of our society. HOPE XXL started in 2009 and has become a major project. Thousands of young people support HOPE XXL, along with some of the most influential politicians, scientists and business leaders.

Participation

European students and young people from all backgrounds are invited to apply. Selection of delegates takes place based on motivation, relevant experience, academic background and group composition. Deadline for application is June 30th.
