LERU publishes note on Clinical Trials and Horizon 2020

LERU has recently published a note on Clincial Trials and Horizon 2020. This Note examines the difficulties experienced by the LERU universities when conducting clinical trials as part of F7 projects, in particular projects part of FP7 ‘Cooperation’ theme and the JTI Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI). The first part of the note focuses on administrative problems while the second part sets out the financial issues. LERU also makes recommendations for actions by the European Commission and other EU policy makers to improve the provisions for conducting clinical trials in EU projects, if feasible already for FP7, but in particular for Horizon 2020.
